1st Annual Calgary Roughstock Rumble
The three toughest events on the dirt rumbled into Calgary for a two-day rough stock event like no other. April 12th and13th, 2013 was Calgary’s chance to get up close and personal with some of the best cowboys from Canada and the United States as they competed in Bareback, Saddle Bronc and Bull Riding in the first annual “Roughstock Rumble”..
Bringing together rodeo’s biggest super stars,“Roughstock Rumble” featured an elite contestant roster with 9 Canadian Champions, a Cowboy of the Year, 3 National Finals Rodeo qualifiers and some of the hottest riders on the rodeo and bull riding circuit. With $10,000 up for grabs for the first place finisher in each event, these
competitive riders went for broke every time they nodded their head.
The high caliber rodeo athletes were challenged with some of the best horses and bulls Canada had to offer. Wayne Vold, Northcott and C+ Rodeo companies rolled into the Stampede Corral with their four legged super stars. The stock gave the cowboys a run for their money and thrilled the crowd with adrenaline pumping rides and spectacular buck offs.
With 15 riders competing for 5 spots in the final short go, the crowd watched a truly unique and awe inspiring display of athleticism and courage – all up close and personal at the Stampede Corral.
